Show Recap

Journal Entry: Thu Apr 3, 2008, 12:50 PM
The Toys show at Gallery 1988 was amazing. There was a lot of really good, inspiring work and I met some really cool people. A special thanks to $spyed, $waveswinger, Steve(whose deviant ID I do not know), and $trowlandson for coming and showing support. They are very cool people. It was really good to see them.

We took my 2-year-old to disneyland which he basically flipped out about. His favorite rides seemed to be Peter Pan and the Nemo submarine ride. He walked around in utter awe the entire day we were there. He patiently waited in every line, wide-eyed, wondering what splendors awaited him next. He was really good in the car during the 9-hour drive and actually cried when we got home because he was having such a good time in the car.

Here is a favorite quote from the trip:

AF: "I feel a little out of place. I'm probably the only guy who stopped for a donut on the way here."

you're welcome :) i really connected with it.. this is probably weird because you don't know me, but i'll tell you anyway. i just watched a home video i got recently from my mom and it was me at about age four on easter. i had found my basket of goodies and i was going through each thing, and then when i was done i organized everything into a neat pile, biggest pad of paper, up to the smallest book. even then, ocd ruled me, lol...

anyway, thanks for the great drawing

I've been spending all my time working on a studio in my basement. It's going to be done in October, hopefully, then I will begin wailing on paintings.
