Artist's Comments

(I resubmitted this image after making changes to the face and some of the lighting problems)

Another in the disorders series. This series has yet to be named so I'm using a working title. This one is about chronic depression. These are all Oil paint on panel 20x16.

This is also very good; the flow in the snowdrifts really captures my attention. I'm amazed that you got such a large high quality image! You must have a ton of detail work in it. Fabulous, again, and i'm glad you're uploading new work.

I love winter scenes, and the message is subtle (yet profound) .

This was me as a child...exactly...even the hiding myself away.
Its almost...shocking how well you captured the ...disorder.

Won’t you come into my garden? I would like my roses to see you.

your art caught my eye, and i'd want to congrad you personaly and say that i feel the vibes your art tries to sell...

you really manage to get a massage across by choosing an image which seems so innocent at first sight.

the soft shades of blue which you have used give it a calm effect. the yellow sky in the background forms a lovely contrast.
it is interesting that you have drawn silhuetts of trees in the background, as if they are ment to dirstract from the hiding child.
winter is usually a season which expresses something depressing, and it fits nicely in this picture.

i notcided that somewhere in the middle above the slide there is a clear sepperation line between a darker shaded area. is that a scanning error, or is it meant to be that way?

very brilliant and talented art work overall! keep it up

i'll be devwatching you and hope to see more of your great pieces soon :)
have a nice day
